Evaluation
This is used to evaluate an applicant’s overall basic eligibility to migrate overseas. The basic eligibility includes age, skillset, financial ability, demand, suitable visa, etc. This evaluation is carried out by Immigration consultants and (or) evaluation experts.
Evaluation is an integral part of the migration process in any country. It is the first step towards determining your eligibility to work, settle or study in a different country. Read along to know more about the evaluation processes.
Why is evaluation important in an immigration process?
These are as follows:
- The first step towards migrating to a different country is to understand the demands of that country and determine if your profile suits the demands.
- During your evaluation, experts understand your occupation, designation and determine whether it is on the demand list of the respective country.
- If neither your occupation nor your designation is on the list, then you are not eligible.
- In countries like Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, etc. eligibility is determined by a points and skills test.
- Through evaluation, applicants understand the drawbacks in their profiles and can work towards bettering it.
- Immigration authorities in all countries assess the criminal history of the applicant.
- This helps to understand and avoid any threat to the country and its citizens.
- Similarly, health evaluation helps in understanding the health of an applicant.
- This is to assess if the applicant is carrying any diseases which can be harmful to the citizens of the migrating country.
- For several countries, an in-person evaluation (or interview) is conducted to understand and assess the intent of the applicant. This is usually done at the last stage of the immigration process.
- The authorities understand that the applicant has the best intentions to move to and serve the country and is not a threat to its society, economy, or any community.
